How to: Create a table by importing existing data.
Solution:
Click the 'Tables' tab in the Database window, click 'New', and select 'Import Table'.
NOTE: Never include a calculated field in the table.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Tables' tab in the Database window.

3) Click 'New'. (The New Table dialog box appears.)
4) Select 'Import Table' from the list box.
5) Click 'OK'. (The Import dialog box appears.)
6) Select the desired folder from the 'Look in' drop-down list box.
7) Select the file containing the data from the 'Look in' list box.
8) Select the file type from the 'Files of Type' drop-down list box.
9) Click 'Import'. (Depending on the type of file selected, the appropriate Import Wizard dialog box appears.)
10) Follow the instructions in the wizard dialog boxes.
11) Click 'Finish' when all entries and selections have been made.
